Local Acoustic Duo Are Big Hit at McFaddin-Ward House Museum Concert

Beaumont, TX; Oct. 12, 2026 – More than 250 music lovers of all ages filled the east lawn of the historic McFaddin-Ward House on Oct. 8 to enjoy a free performance by local favorites Curse and the Cure—husband and wife acoustic duo Jason and Norma Touchette—as part of the Museum’s ongoing Music at the McFaddins’ Concert Series.
“Jason and Norma put on a fantastic show with just an acoustic guitar and their incredible voices,” said Jeffrey Richardson, executive director of the McFaddin-Ward House Museum. “It was great to see so many families and friends coming together as a community to enjoy an evening of live music at the historic property.”
The set list featured a wide range of genre-and-decade-spanning hits that showcased the Port Neches couple’s incredible range, amazing harmonies, and dynamic vocals.
“It was so much fun,” said Norma Touchette of Curse and the Cure. “I especially loved getting to watch the sunset with all of the beautiful people here on the grounds.”
The Touchettes have been performing together locally, nationally, and internationally since 2014 and have opened for national and regional acts such as Reba McEntire, the Charlie Daniels Band, and Pat Green.
The next free Music at the McFaddins’ concert featuring Jimmy Simmons & Friends will be Thursday, Nov. 5, at 6:30 p.m. on the McFaddin-Ward House lawn at 1906 McFaddin Ave. in Beaumont.
