Join the McFaddin-Ward House for Texas Trivia Night March 14
Beaumont, TX; Mar. 5, 2024 – In conjunction with the 2024 SOAR Celebration this March, the McFaddin-Ward House invites the community to join in a fun-filled Texas Trivia Night on Thursday, Mar. 14, at 6:30 p.m. on the museum’s grounds (1906 McFaddin Ave., Beaumont).
Individuals or teams of up to six players can test their knowledge of the Lone Star State during four rousing rounds of family-friendly Texas trivia hosted by Brandon Long of The Know Show Trivia. Prizes will be awarded for each round and overall for the night.
“We are pleased to be expanding our SOAR celebration this year with a Texas Trivia Night,” said Tony Chauveaux, McFaddin-Ward House executive director. “The McFaddin-Ward House is steeped in Texas history with the McFaddin family’s roots in the state dating back to before the Texas Revolution. An important part of our mission is to foster life-long learning by sharing this legacy as well as the history of Texas.”
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and snacks, as they enjoy the fun under the stars on the lawn of the historic McFaddin-Ward House. Gates open at 6 p.m. The event is admission-free and open to the public.
In case of inclement weather, Texas Trivia Night will be moved to the McFaddin-Ward Visitor Center Lecture Hall (1906 Calder Ave., Beaumont).
Built in 1905-1906 in the distinctive Beaux-Arts Colonial style, the McFaddin-Ward House reflects the lifestyle of the prominent family which lived in the house for 75 years. The museum features free tours, educational programming, year-round events, a carriage house, and gardens.
