With its wide expanses of grass, tall shade trees, and impressive views, the McFaddin-Ward House is a perfect place to bring a picnic. And as the weather begins to cool off here in southeast Texas, what better place is there to celebrate fall than our community picnic?
Join us Thursday, October 16th from 5—7 p.m. Bring your own picnic dinner—or buy some delicious goods from the Rockin’ Mama’s Kitchen. From burgers and pork sliders to more exotic fare, this food truck offers something for everyone.
Then settle in on the grass and enjoy the sounds of Katie Whitney & the Draw. This local band always brings the party, and will be a great addition to the picnic.
Watch the sun set and enjoy some time with your family and other members of the community. The first floor of the house will also be open for tours. And stay tuned for more surprises!
This event is, as always, free and open to the public; call (409) 832-1906 for more information.
