McFaddin-Ward House Museum to Present Outdoor Concert March 28

Beaumont, TX; March 10, 2025 – The McFaddin-Ward House Museum will close out its month-long, butterfly-themed SOAR Celebration with an admission-free “Music at the McFaddins’” outdoor concert event featuring “The Stringbenders,” on Friday, March 28 at 6:30 p.m. on the museum lawn (1906 McFaddin Ave., Beaumont).
“The Stringbenders,” an energetic five-piece band based in Houston, will perform an eclectic mix of classic country, rock-n-roll and Zydeco-style music amidst the vibrant SOAR Celebration butterfly installation displayed throughout the gardens.
“We are excited to present the debut performance of ‘The Stringbenders’ in our popular ‘Music at the McFaddins’’ concert series,” said McFaddin-Ward House Museum Executive Director Jeffrey Richardson. “With the SOAR installation providing a festive spring spirit, this is the perfect time to enjoy great music with family and friends on our beautiful grounds.”
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and refreshments as they gather on the historic home’s grounds to enjoy a great evening of live entertainment. Gates open at 6 p.m., and music begins at 6:30 p.m. Visitors are also invited to explore the SOAR butterfly installation and Butterfly Art Garden created by local artists.
In case of inclement weather, “Music at the McFaddins’” will be cancelled.
Built in 1905-1906 in the distinctive Beaux-Arts Colonial style, the McFaddin-Ward House reflects the lifestyle of the prominent family that lived in the house for 75 years. The museum features admission-free tours, educational programming, year-round events, a carriage house exhibit, and gardens.
