McFaddin-Ward House Announces Return of Movies at the McFaddins’ Outdoor Movie Nights
Beaumont, TX; Apr. 17, 2024 – The McFaddin-Ward House invites the community and their canine companions to its admission-free outdoor movie night series Movies at the McFaddins’, starting with a special BYOD/Bring Your Own Dog Night featuring “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey” (©Walt Disney Pictures) on Friday, April 26. Gates open at 7:30 p.m., and the film will begin at dusk on the museum lawn (1906 McFaddin Ave., Beaumont).
“For the first time at our popular Movies at the McFaddins’ series, dog owners are invited to bring their furry friends along to enjoy a dog-friendly feature on the lawn,” said Tony Chauveaux, McFaddin-Ward House executive director. “These events are a great way for us to engage with the community and inspire interest in our historic site by providing a safe, comfortable environment for families and friends to enjoy themselves and create cherished memories.”
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, and snacks as they gather on the historic home’s grounds to enjoy the family-friendly film with their canine and other friends. Dog treats will be available at the door, and water will be provided. All dogs must be on a leash.
The Movies at the McFaddins’ series will continue on Thursday, June 6, with a showing of “The Parent Trap 1998” (©Walt Disney Pictures). Additional dates will be announced later this fall.
Please note in case of inclement weather, Movies at the McFaddins’ will be cancelled.
Built in 1905-1906 in the distinctive Beaux-Arts Colonial style, the McFaddin-Ward House reflects the lifestyle of the prominent family which lived in the house for 75 years. The museum features free tours, educational programming, year-round events, a carriage house, and gardens.
