Lecture Description: Jennifer Thalheimer will examine Louis Comfort Tiffany’s astonishingly diverse work in the decorative arts over the course of his lifetime through the remarkable collection of the Morse Museum.
Speaker Bio: Jennifer Thalheimer is Curator and Collection Manager at the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art in Winter Park, Florida. The Morse Museum is best known as home to the world’s most comprehensive collection of material owned, collected and created by Louis C. Tiffany. Thalheimer has been interpreting the museum’s collection while researching the life and art of Louis C. Tiffany for over twenty years. She grew up on Long Island near the site of Tiffany’s estate Laurelton Hall, and received a master’s degree from New York’s Parsons School of Design/Cooper-Hewitt Graduate Program in the History of Decorative Arts.
