The Orphan Train has gained much publicity recently with a best selling novel and a movie in the works. But few know what the phenomenon really meant for the historical landscape of our country. The orphan train was the largest child migration ever seen. More than 250, 000 orphans and unwanted children were taken out of New York City and given away at train stations across America.
Please join us for a very special and different evening presented by singer/songwriter, Phil Lancaster. His presentation is comprised of original music, an audio-visual presentation of archival photographs and interviews with two surviving orphan train riders. You don’t want to miss this important event.
