Join us for a presentation on Beaumont’s Temple Emanuel by Dr. Laura Cochrane, 2020 Center for History and Culture Fellow.
Dr. Laura Cochrane is Associate Professor and Coordinator of Art History and Visual Arts at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN. She teaches classes on medieval art, Renaissance art, Islamic art, book history, design history, and art history methodologies.
Before receiving her PhD, Dr. Cochrane worked as a rare book librarian and archivist at Harvard University, the University of Delaware, and Princeton University. She continues her interest in rare books and focuses her research on medieval manuscript illustrations. In addition to her research on the artistic and architectural significance of Temple Emanuel in Beaumont, she is completing a publication on the diagrams and imagery in a Carolingian mathematical treatises.
