Beaumont, TX; Oct. 18, 2023 – Let there be light! The McFaddin-Ward House’s extensive electrical upgrade is almost complete!
Following restoration, rewiring, and a thorough cleaning, nearly 100 historic light fixtures have been reinstalled, and power has been restored to every floor of the McFaddin-Ward House utilizing the state of the art commercial electric system installed by Newtron Electrical Services. As a result, every light fixture and crystal adornment shines brighter than ever!
Over the next week, lead contractor Oak Grove Restoration Company will be putting final touches on repairs, and the museum’s Curatorial Team will be hard at work resetting rooms and returning all interpretation objects to their rightful places.
Additionally, the team from Rutledge Paint Co. has been busy adding a fresh coat of paint to the Administrative Offices, and repairing and painting the fence surrounding the Carriage House and office buildings.
Tours of our Main House will resume on Wednesday, Oct. 25th.
