Beaumont, TX; April 12, 2023 – The 11th week of the McFaddin-Ward House electrical upgrade was dedicated to the first floor’s 17 power outlets and completing the finial sconces which adorn the newel posts at the base of the grand staircase in the Entrance Hall.
To reach the posts, Oak Grove Restoration Company opened a crawlspace in the back wall of the closet behind the stairs that allowed electricians from Newtron Electrical Services to access the stairwell from beneath and successfully run wire to each post.
In addition to the house’s original receptacles, four new outlets are being added to the first floor and will be located in the Music Room, Pink Parlor, Kitchen, and closet behind the grand staircase.
