Calling all Southeast Texas social studies and history teachers, school administrators, and school board members!
Join the McFaddin-Ward House (MWH) Thursday, October 28 for a History Open House.
Guests will get a behind-the-scenes look at the MWH, as well as the current traveling exhibit, Apron Strings: Ties to the Past, which reevaluates the common apron’s historic, cultural, and artistic significance in society.
Rayanna Hoeft, Director of Educational Programming, and Victoria Tamez, MWH Curator of Collections, will be on-site to receive input from area educators regarding their classroom needs, and to preview educational offerings of the MWH.
Complimentary snacks and beverages will be served.
Admission is free with teacher/educator ID.
