Allen started at the McFaddin-Ward House Museum as curator in 2009, and in 2010 was promoted to director. He earned his Bachelor’s in Art History from Baylor University and a Master’s in Fine and Decorative Art from Christie’s Auction House in London, England. There, he was able to conduct research in important estate homes, auction houses, museums, and private collections all over England, Scotland, France and Italy.
Allen has served on numerous local, statewide, and national committees as a member of the board of Symphony Southeast Texas, his Rotary Club, Texas Association of Museums, and American Alliance of Museums. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, painting, traveling, and working out at Cross Fit.
